提防租介骗局

某希腊船东近日提出警告说有  ‘’ 一群骗子 正在对没有防范的亚洲货运商下手行骗. ( 1).

A Greek shipowner hs voiced concern over what it calls a “Group of crooks” it claims is preying on unsuspecting Asian freight forwarders.

A senior figure of Athen based Seamax Marine tells Tradewinds that Equator Shipping Georgia is falsely claiming to have chartered in its vessel.

Chinese freight player Lianyungang Jieyang Chartering got in touch with Seamax when it was contacted by Equator in March over a 50,000 tons of Nickel ore shipment it was arranging from Indonesia to China.

The Jiangsu based charterer says Equator claimed to have the Seamax owned 53,000-dwt “Fratzie Star” (2005) under it control.

But before Lianyungang Jieyang paid the 20% deposit US$19,000, it contacted the Greek shipowner to confirm whether this was true. Seamax strongly advised the charterer against doing business with Equator, which it claimed was “the same group of crooks trying to get deposits from various people”.

Tradewinds has also seen correspondence from Indonesian freight players detailing another

alleged scam by Equator that resulted in the loss of a US$62,900 deposit.

The Seamax official added “these guys are able to get involve with a deal and then disappeared if they are found out”. In the past his company have had queries six or seven times  who want to know  whether we deal with them. But we certainly do not. He believed Equator is based in Turkey.

Cabin chopped off cargoship

A general cargoship lost a little height as salvors freed it from the Binh Bridge in Vietnam.

The 16,000-dwt Vinashin Orient (built 2006) had been stuck against the bridge in Hai Phong for three days before engineers decided to slide off a cabin on Monday.

The ship, which had not been securely anchored, had drifted along the river after strong gusts had set it free from its mooring. Damage to the bridge has been estimated at VND 30bn ($1.57m) to VND 40bn.

二:造船 (Shipbuilding)

1. -河北远洋 (HOSCO)准备向渤海和武昌造船厂订造14 82000-dwt Kamsarmax型干散船, 造价每条 3400万美元, 交船期为2012/2013.

2. -南京油轮(NJT) 公司投资 7亿5000万美元向江苏新时代 (New Time)造船厂订造830万吨 VLCC油轮.

3. -上海 Cabot 船务公司因得到 Rich Mark Dev. 公司10年长期合约从沃洲装运煤炭和矿砂石回中国而向南通明德造船厂订造218万吨 Capesize 新船, 造价每条 5500万美元, 交船期为2012.

4. -厦门造船厂接到来自香港 Sanfeng 船务公司2 57000-dwt Supramax 型干散船之订单. 造价每条2800万美美元, 交船期为 2010年年底. 该厂今年来已接有 12 Supramax型干散船之订单.

                 5. -台塑公司准备于3年内把船队从45条增加到76, 新船订单将包括 32万吨VLCC,18-20万吨Capesize, 7万吨Panamax和化学品油轮.

1. -大连新港原油码头16日发生火灾时泊位上属新加坡 Tanker Pacific VLCC “Cosmic Jewel” (1997)301,000-dwt得以安全离开. 中石油并将其他6条即将到来卸货之VLCC 转往 (divert) 到南韩.据报导爆炸之油罐中约1500吨原油排进海中.

                 2. -“Maersk Tutang” (2008) 8403-teu 28日于德国 Bremerhaven Strom码头卸货发生火灾.2名工作人员面受伤.

3. -MOL 属下 VLCC “M.Star” (2008) 310000-dwt. 28日经波斯湾荷摩斯(Hormuz)海峽时被不明东西打損船身. 一名船员受伤. 但该轮仍然可以继续前往日本.

4. -巴拿马旗货轮 “Doric Glory” 61470-dwt, 27日于美国密士士比河洩油被扣.
